Amazing service great location (4 min walk to beach) and pretty good food. Me and my girlfriend are vegetarian and they were very accommodating. We had a very nice waiter and great reception staff aswell. Kinda bad wifi in the room but not a bad thing when you're on vacation and shouldn't be on the net anyway.
We spent 7 nights there - it was amazing! Very kind family run hotel with a finca feeling (bar and pool in the middle). We could eat the breakfast on the terrace, the lunch was a la carte and we could order nice 3 course dinner in the morning when we knew that we stay in the hotel. The seafood meals were brilliant.
It's only 5min walk from the hotel to the beach which is one of the best on Elba. Quite small, therefore cozy and not too full. And all Montemerlo guests get 10% discounts in one of the two cafes/restraurants at the beach. We loved the mix of pool/relaxing/going to the beach with 2 kids for 2-4 hours/driving around with no pressure
Room itself was clean and completely fine.
Beautiful grounds. Lush gardens. Reasonable accommodation. Disappointed in availability of jacuzzi which was booked in the morning for 5 pm and then the water was cold and took 2 hours to warm up.
The garden and pool area is a great place to relax - especially in the jacuzzi! The staff are friendly and accommodating
Very nice hotel, above a lovely beach. Impeccable service, very kind and they offered us many useful tips for excursions. Rich breakfast and dinner with excellent value for money.
We stayed for 2 nights in the property. Spacious and clean room with large balcony with a bit of sea view. Furnishings not the most modern but well kept. Very clean bathroom. Hotels are very attentive to waste, there are no single-portion plastic packs but soap dispensers and glass glasses. Personal parking for each room. Hotel swimming pool and continental buffet breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient for being about 500 meters from the Fetovaia beach which can be reached on foot or by car. The beaches of Cavoli and Seccheto are just a few kilometers away.

Let's say it's not cheap but a good restaurant for 29 euros and a nice setting surrounded by greenery 300 meters from one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Very convenient parking (not everyone gives it). PS there are no shops or anything else around...
